Stroll through the neighborhood, and chances are you’ll encounter this unassuming plant. It’s a ground cover that sprawls generously, weaving its way across the earth. But don’t be fooled by its unpretentious demeanor—when it blooms, it unveils a profusion of delicate purple flowers. These little gems are scattered everywhere, quietly adding their charm to the landscape.  This is called the Common Periwinkle. 

I confess, I’ve often overlooked them in my quest for more exotic flora. Yet, on a whim, I paused to observe closely. The hues of purple danced in the sunlight, and the intricate details of each petal unfolded like a miniature universe.
